Use a consistent naming convention and validate the destination analytics before interpreting campaign results.
1. Name the campaign consistently
Choose stable lowercase labels for source, medium, and campaign. For example, use whatsapp, messaging, and autumn_launch_2026. Add utm_content when distinguishing message versions. Keep an internal naming sheet so teammates do not split one campaign across several labels. Do not include customer names, emails, or phone numbers in parameters.
2. Build and test the full link
Use a URL builder or carefully append the parameters to the final destination. If the URL already has a query string, add parameters with an ampersand rather than a second question mark. Open the exact campaign link on mobile and check that redirects preserve its parameters and the intended product page loads.
3. Check the external measurement
Configure your website analytics and confirm that a test visit appears under the expected campaign. Tiringo does not provide website conversion attribution or native click reporting. Message delivery and reply data belong to the campaign; sessions and purchases belong to your website measurement. Consent settings and blockers can limit what analytics observes.
4. Compare the right outcomes
Report delivered messages, attributed sessions, and completed orders separately. One person can create several sessions, and some purchases happen later through a different channel. Define the reporting period and attribution assumptions. Start with one tagged destination and document what the measurement captures before comparing different campaigns.
5. Preserve the tags through checkout
Check whether the destination, redirects, and checkout flow retain the campaign information in your analytics configuration. A visit can be measured while a later purchase loses its campaign context. Document that limit instead of assuming missing attributed revenue means no sales happened. Share the naming sheet with whoever maintains the website measurement so future links remain consistent.
